Established in 1966, Shonki Brothers, were the first Asian Estate Agents in England
1980
Shonki Brothers sponsored a local football team Kal having been one of the original founding members
1986
Kal became a member of the Incorporated Society of Valuers and Auctioneers which merged with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1999
1990
Kal became a member Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
1991
Kal qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and sat on the ISVA auctioneering committee for 2 years before the merger of the two organisations
1992
Kal was awarded with a GAVEL at this auctioneering competition and still uses the same one today.
1992
Kal won a national auctioneering competition in 1992, Kal set up the auction department and has since been conducting 5-7 auction sales a year.

One of Leicester's major historic buildings features the mosaic of Cardinal Wolsey. Previously owned by the Sangra family for many years it was home to hosiery, textiles and production companies. In 2011 the building was developed for housing, with the portrait of Wolsey retained.
2012
Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duchess of Cambridge visit Leicester during the Queen's Golden Jubilee tour of Britain.
The remains of King Richard III are discovered beneath a Council car park. Plans are begun for his eventual reinterment in Leicester Cathedral.
2013
Remains of Stamford Castle, Lincolnshire – a Grade II listed three arch structure on the corner of Bath Row and Castle Dyke, was sold by Kal Sangra at auction. This structure is believed to be part of the 14th-century Great Hall and comprises outhouses with three splayed arches with the centre having an ancient iron studded door.
2016
The KSSB decorate the London Road office for the Parade to celebrate the Leicester City win of the 2015–16 Premier League.
2019
Room Auctions started at The Grand Hotel, Leicester. A centrally located Grade II listed building situated within the same block as our office on Granby Street.

The Foister Building is one of the most prestigious residential buildings in the city. Set in Leicester’s evolving Cultural Quarter it is a former hosiery factory on Charles Street. It has been a landmark of the city since it was first built in the 1930s.

Historic Leicester Castle buildings sold within minutes at our February 2023 auction. Historic grade II listed building 5, 6, 7, 8-9 and 12 Castle View, stand within the remains of 11th century Leicester Castle walls. The properties raised a total of £1.2 million for Leicester City Council
